Chapter Recruitment

Nationally, Kappa is moving away from Paper recommendations and toward paperless recommendations, which can be submitted here. You are more than welcome to send a submission and a paper submission to the address listed above, both a paperless one, but we highly encourage a paperless one.

Dear Potential New Members,

You are about to embark on an exciting journey filled with countless opportunities to grow, connect, and lead. One of the most impactful ways to enrich your college experience is by becoming involved in campus organizations — and the sorority recruitment process is a truly unforgettable beginning. Through Recruitment, you will meet hundreds of incredible women, many of whom will become lifelong friends and mentors. As you take this important step into a new chapter of your life, I wholeheartedly encourage you to participate in Recruitment and discover where you feel most at home.
Joining a sorority has been one of the most rewarding decisions of my college career. It is difficult to fully express the joy, growth, and lifelong friendships I have found through my membership in Kappa Kappa Gamma. I vividly remember the nerves and excitement I felt preparing for Recruitment — the hope of finding a sisterhood that truly felt like home. I am proud to say that through the Recruitment journey, I found that home in Kappa.
Throughout the Recruitment process, I hope you will see how deeply Kappa values friendship, academic excellence, leadership, and service. Like you, I once stood on the threshold of this experience, unsure of what to expect but eager for what was ahead. Recruitment gave me the chance to discover an organization that has not only shaped my college years but will continue to influence my life long after graduation. From serving in leadership roles, attending campus events, gathering at the Kappa house, or advocating for our three philanthropies, the memories and lessons I have gained are truly priceless.
We believe that sisterhood is not just for four years — it is for life. I am so excited you are considering joining Greek Life at Texas Tech and beginning this remarkable journey. For important dates, deadlines, and additional information about Recruitment, please visit the Texas Tech University Collegiate Panhellenic Council website: http://greeklife.ttu.edu/org/ttupanhellenic/home. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to me directly or contact your local alumnae association for additional guidance as you prepare for August.
Recruitment is an exciting, life-changing experience, and I cannot wait to share it with you!

Dream Boldly and Live Fully,
Iris Hernandez, VP of Membership 2025
